ABOUT ME
Hello. My name is…
Erica Quessenberry and I am a web designer at Mindfly Web Design Studio in Bellingham, Washington. I spend my time helping businesses and programmers achieve their web marketing goals by providing beautiful designs, clean front-end markup, custom blogs, and helpful tips along the way.
My whole life I’ve felt myself pushed to be increasingly left-brained. Whether that was some kind of self-imposed pressure or just a sign of our times, I do not know. I pursued degrees in international studies and economic development in hopes to be some kind of corporate power that could change the world for good. And while that is a noble cause and I do wish for it to happen, I realized I did not want to be a part of corporate America.
After copious amounts of soul searching I chalked up my unrelated degrees to fabulous life experiences and turned to web design and graphic art as an outlet for my suppressed creativity and to further develop the right side of my brain. I find this new-found love of creation goes very well with my obsession with organization, efficiency, and finding that balance between good form and functionality (Turns out all that left-brained thinking isn’t all for not). And while I know I will probably never fully escape corporate life I can at least help make it look pretty.
I have a BA in International Studies, an MSc in Economic Development and have taken extensive courses in graphic design. I’ve lived in Nashville, TN; Portland, OR; San Jose, Costa Rica; Istanbul, Turkey; and Glasgow, Scotland. I love to travel and experience new cultures every chance I get.
